Robert Tudawali
1929 - 1967

1929 - born on Melville Island
1941- became an orderly in a Royal Australian Air Force medical aid-post
1942 - moved to Mataranka with group of aborigines people
1948 - got married from Peggy (Wadyigini woman)
1952 - was chosen for leading male role in Jeddah
1956 -  suffered from tuberculosis
1963 - was banished  to Melville Island for nine months
1966 - was elected vice-president of the Northern Territory Council for Aboriginal Rights
early in 1967 - planned to travel south on a fund-raising and community education tour
in July 1967 - was involved in a drinking session at Bagot
on 26 of July in1967 - died  in Darwin Hospital
1987 - film was made about his life
